Mortgage approvals has been felling

Mortgage approvals fell in U.K. to a record low in October,2007 and mortgage lending has softened according to the British Bankers' Association. It is a further sign that the property market is cooling due to Bank of England' interest rate hikes. BOE is critised for not reacting to the market. Some people say they seem like wanting housing market to crash.

Mortgage rates fall in US

Mortgage rates dropped this week, allowing the 15-year fixed-rate mortgage to fall to a level last seen in February 2006, according to Freddie Mac's weekly survey, released on Wednesday.
